Job description

General Manager, U.S. (CPG)

A growing, international CPG brand is hiring a U.S. General Manager to own and scale its North American business. This is a true P&L role, reporting directly to the CEO, with broad autonomy and a mandate to grow revenue, strengthen distributor partnerships, and build out a high-performing commercial team.

This is not an operations or plant GM role. The focus is commercial leadership: sales strategy, distributors, retail partnerships, trade spend, forecasting, and execution in a lean environment.

If this sounds like your next career move, apply now!

Compensation: Up to $200k base + bonus + full benefits
Location: Greater LA / OC (flexible hybrid; office currently in East LA County with potential move toward the LAX/Westside area

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in CPG/FMCG, ideally with strong beverage exposure
  • Proven experience owning a full P&L in the U.S. market
  • Deep experience managing distributor-led models and national or regional retail accounts
  • Track record of retail expansion, trade spend optimization, and profitable growth
  • Experience working within a global or international organization preferred
  • Mandarin fluency is a strong plus, but not required

What You'll Own

  • Full U.S. P&L ownership (revenue, gross margin, trade spend, A&P, opex)
  • Distributor-led go-to-market strategy across grocery, mass, club, specialty, and other key channels
  • Direct ownership of key retail relationships, JBPs, pricing, and promotional calendars
  • Forecasting and demand planning discipline to support growth and supply continuity
  • Hands-on leadership of a small but growing U.S. team, with responsibility to attract and develop talent
  • Close alignment with global HQ while maintaining strong local decision-making

Why This Role

  • High-impact, high-visibility leadership role with direct access to executive decision-makers
  • Real autonomy to shape U.S. strategy and build a team
  • Flexible working model focused on outcomes, not face time
  • Backing of an established international brand with significant growth runway
