Job description

The Village Company, headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN, creates bath, shower, hair, and body care products for the whole family under America's favorite brands.We are currently seeking an Associate Marketing Manager plays a key role in developing and executing consumer engagement strategies that strengthen brand awareness, build community, and drive customer loyalty across digital channels. This role will report to our Associate Director of Marketing and will be responsible for planning and managing social media content, community engagement, email marketing calendars, influencer and promotional initiatives, and other consumer-facing marketing programs. Working closely with creative, ecommerce, and cross-functional teams, the Associate Marketing Manager helps ensure consistent brand execution across all touchpoints while supporting product launches, retail marketing initiatives, and special events. This role is ideal for a creative, organized marketer who thrives in a fast-paced CPG environment, enjoys turning consumer insights into engaging content, and can successfully balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media and Consumer EngagementManage social media strategy, content calendars, publishing, moderation, social listening, and community engagement across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.Develop engaging social content that reflects each brand's voice, supports marketing campaigns, and drives consumer interaction.Monitor conversations, respond to consumer inquiries, and identify opportunities to build brand advocacy and strengthen online communities.Partner with the e-commerce team to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated campaigns across digital channels.Develop and manage consumer-facing communications, including email marketing calendars, newsletters, and other CRM initiatives.Build and manage influencer marketing programs by identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining relationships with creators who align with each brand's target audience.Develop and execute brand ambassador programs that cultivate loyal consumers, generate authentic user-generated content, and increase brand advocacy.Develop and manage a user-generated content (UGC) program by encouraging authentic consumer content, securing usage rights, and building a library of brand assets for use across social media, e- commerce, retailer pages, email marketing, and paid advertising.Coordinate influencer and ambassador product seeding, campaign briefs, content approvals, performance tracking, and reporting.Track social media, influencer, email, and engagement metrics, providing recommendations to optimize performance and improve consumer engagement.Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, creator best practices, and emerging digital marketing opportunities to continuously improve program effectiveness.Artwork, Packaging, and Content ManagementMaintain the art transition document and ensure accurate, up-to-date tracking of artwork changes.Collaborate with the creative team to request image assets as needed.Manage online content across digital platforms, including product images, copy updates, country-of-origin (COO) changes, and compliance adjustments.Manage content and data syndication through Syndigo.Perform weekly audits of images and content on major retailer websites, proactively addressing inconsistencies or errors.Troubleshoot and resolve content or compliance issues on Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, and other retailer platforms.Promotional Planning and Brand ActivationUpdate and manage the digital promotional calendar to ensure alignment across internal teams.Assist with planning and executing brand activations and events, including:3M OpenMr. Bubble activationsCommunity and partnership eventsSupport limited-edition product launches, including kickoff meetings, label content development, and cross-functional coordination.Financial and Administrative SupportUpdate monthly consumer marketing spend and ensure accurate financial tracking.Provide general project management support to ensure timelines, deliverables, and cross-department communication remain on track.Other Business NeedsSupport cross-functional teams with ad-hoc marketing requests, research needs, or documentation updates as business priorities evolve.Participate in internal meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategic planning discussions as needed.Provide additional administrative or coordination support during peak workload periods, seasonal promotions, or brand initiatives.Step in to support team members' responsibilities during absences, during high-volume project cycles, or in response to urgent market demands.Maintain flexibility to take on emerging responsibilities that align with brand growth, organizational needs, or evolving market conditions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in brand marketing, social media marketing, consumer engagement, or digital marketing, preferably within a consumer-packaged goods (CPG) organization.Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms for consumer brands and creating engaging content that builds audience growth and engagement.Experience developing or managing influencer marketing campaigns and creator relationships.Experience creating, launching, or managing brand ambassador, affiliate, or advocacy programs is preferred.Working knowledge of email marketing platforms (such as Klaviyo) and content calendar management.Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt messaging across multiple brands and channels.Experience using social media management, listening, and analytics tools.Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engagement metrics and make data-driven recommendations.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, creative, sales, and e-commerce teams.Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Canva, or basic
