Construction Project Manager
Chicago, IL
Full-Time / Contract (12+ months)
Overview:
Premier Resources Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead complex engineering and construction initiatives across multiple company facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with a background managing large-scale industrial projects involving multiple stakeholders, contractors, and client-facing coordination.
Scope:
You will oversee capital projects involving facility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure work across four active plant locations. Expect dynamic schedules, fast-paced coordination, and active site presence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage full project lifecycle from planning through turnover and commissioning
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with company stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and site teams
  • Oversee safety, QA/QC processes, permitting, and local code compliance
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and contract documentation
  • Conduct regular site visits and meetings with internal teams and external partners
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries, laydown logistics, and secure material handling
  • Drive construction turnover to company's commissioning/start-up teams

Preferred Experience:
  • 7+ years managing industrial or manufacturing construction projects ($10M+)
  • Strong background with general contractors, EPCs, and construction management practices
  • Familiarity with QA/QC protocols, OSHA and client safety requirements
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, documentation, and subcontractor oversight
  • Proficient in project controls (schedule, budget, change orders)
  • CPG project experience strongly preferred

Travel:
  • Frequent regional travel to project site (approx. 50%)
