Key responsibilities

  • Develop AI solutions, including custom skills, agents, and workflows, tailored to the daily needs of brand teams.

  • Configure and launch customer environments by connecting various data sources such as syndicated retail, ecommerce, media, and internal systems.

  • Lead demos, training, and enablement sessions for brand teams to facilitate adoption and effective use of the AI solutions.

Job description

About BrandBase

BrandBase is an early-stage startup, led by experienced CPG and tech leaders, on a mission to create a new day for CPG brand teams: in how they work, in their relationships with each other, and in how they connect with their retailers and consumers. Founder Jeff Thompson spent 20+ years leading brands and marketing organizations at Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Burt's Bees (Clorox), and Tropicana Brands Group (PepsiCo & PAI Private Equity), and his co-founders bring deep experience building AI companies.

Our product is an AI Operating System, built with leading agentic AI, designed around how brand teams actually work. It connects the data a team already has (syndicated retail, ecommerce, media, internal systems) into one view, then runs the loop every brand lives by: track performance, surface the โ€œso whatโ€ behind every gap with root cause analysis in seconds instead of days, hand the team a clear menu of actions, and follow through so decisions actually happen and brand knowledge compounds instead of walking out the door.

The Role

If you have ever lost two weeks of a month assembling the business review and thought โ€œAI should be doing this with me,โ€ this role was written for you. As our first AI Solutions hire, you are the bridge between BrandBase and the brand teams who use it. You have sat in their seat, so you understand their workflows and needs, and you will translate that understanding into real AI solutions built on top of the BrandBase operating system, working directly with and mentored by our founding team.

What You Will Do
  • Develop AI solutions on top of the BrandBase operating system: custom skills, agents, and workflows built around the real jobs of a brand team, daily through quarterly, with the business review as the flagship

  • Build and maintain the example prompt and skill library that powers our demos and gives customers proven starting points

  • Configure and launch customer environments, connecting syndicated retail (Circana, NIQ, SPINS), ecommerce, media, and internal data sources

  • Lead demos, training, and hands-on enablement for brand teams at our design partner companies

  • Be the voice of the customer, turning adoption insights into product improvements with our engineering team

Who You Are
  • 2+ years in CPG brand management (ABM or similar): you have lived the monthly reporting, the root cause hunting, and the business reviews our customers run every day

  • A true AI power user, demonstrated by building workflows, skills, and automations with tools like Claude and/or vibe coding your own side projects

  • A fast learner and natural teacher who can meet non-technical teams where they are

  • Founding-team mentality: hungry, curious, and all-in on building something new

Why BrandBase

Get in on the ground floor of an exciting new AI startup. You will work daily with founders who have built and scaled companies in both CPG and tech, go deeper into AI than almost any role in the industry, build your network across CPG, and help shape how an entire industry works. Competitive early-stage package.
