Low Voltage Technician & Fiber Splicer – Phoenix AZ, Prescott AZ, Las Vegas NV

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians and Fiber Splicers to support ongoing commercial and residential projects in Phoenix AZ, Prescott AZ, and Las Vegas NV. Ideal candidates have hands‐on experience with single‐strand and ribbon fiber, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Splice, test, and troubleshoot single‐strand and ribbon fiber
  • Perform OTDR, light source/power meter testing, and fiber characterization
  • Complete fiber enclosures, trays, and documentation to project standards
  • Install, terminate, and test low‐voltage cabling (fiber, coax, Cat5/6)
  • Read and interpret splice plans, schematics, and construction prints
  • Support OSP/ISP fiber builds, cutovers, and restoration work
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, contractors, and customers
  • Follow all safety protocols and job‐site requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years fiber splicing experience
  • Proficiency with single‐strand and ribbon fiber
  • Must own or have access to fiber splicing tools and test equipment
  • Ability to work in outdoor, indoor, and confined‐space environments
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OSP/ISP fiber construction
  • Experience with COX, Spectrum, Comcast, or similar ISP
  • Knowledge of coax signal levels, meter usage, and grounding
  • NCTI, SCTE, or related certifications

Residential Cox Cable Installer – Phoenix AZ & Las Vegas NV

Role Summary

We are hiring experienced Residential Cox Cable Installers to perform broadband installations including internet, TV, and phone services. Candidates must have prior ISP installation experience and be comfortable working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Install and activate internet, TV, and phone services
  • Run and terminate coax, Cat5/6, and related cabling
  • Install modems, routers, set‐top boxes, and WiFi equipment
  • Perform signal testing and verify system performance
  • Provide excellent customer service and education
  • Complete work orders, documentation, and job photos
  • Follow safety standards and ladder handling procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience as a residential cable installer for COX or similar ISP
  • Strong understanding of coax routing, fittings, and signal levels
  • Ability to use meters, testers, and basic hand tools
  • Clean background check and drug screening
  • Reliable truck, van, or SUV preferred
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in attics/crawl spaces
