About the role
This is a ministry role at Christ Covenant, Below are expectations for this full-time role, responsible for effectively overseeing and running the Children's Ministry and other Covenant Kids events at the designated campus throughout the year.
What you'll do
Ministry Oversight
  • Work alongside the Children's Pastor to plan, implement the overall vision of Covenant Kids on Sundays and in Covenant Kids special events: Ephesians 4:12 "to equip the saints for the work of ministry for the building up of the body of Christ."
  • Public speaking as the face of the ministry to groups including: sunday services, new member classes, parent meetings, launch teams, and more.

Volunteer Leadership
  • Recruit, Encourage and develop a lead team of volunteers within the ministry who will:
    • Fill key roles on Sunday mornings
    • Lead training of new volunteers in specific ministry age-groups
    • build disciple-making relationships with the children in this ministry
  • Meet regularly with current volunteers to cast vision, encourage and delegate ministry responsibilities
  • Oversee volunteer retention
  • Lead new volunteer trainings and equip others to lead these trainings.

Ministry & Special Events Logistics Planning
  • Oversee implementation of curriculum
  • Oversee Sunday Covenant Kids logistics and timing
  • Plan and Oversee campus-specific special events

General
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Meet with children for discipleship, salvation, baptism conversations.
  • Be a member in good standing with the church
  • Manage relationship with staff, elders, and committees
  • Ensure that all volunteers under management are performing in alignment with the goals and culture of Christ Covenant

Qualification
  • Bachelor's (B.A.) degree preferred
  • Preferred at least 1 year of admin experience
  • Understanding of and willingness to minister within the church's statement of beliefs
  • Character congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9)
