Summary:

As a Golf Course Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our golf course remains in pristine condition. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of course equipment and irrigation systems, as well as performing daily care and upkeep of the playing surfaces. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and fieldwork skills to uphold the high standards of our course.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Equipment Maintenance: Service and repair golf course machinery and equipment, including mowers, tractors, and irrigation systems. Ensure all tools and equipment are in optimal working condition.
  • Irrigation Management: Monitor and adjust irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of turf. Troubleshoot and resolve irrigation issues promptly.
  • Turf Care: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, fertilizing, and pest control to keep greens, tees, fairways, and roughs in top condition.
  • Course Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues affecting course quality and playability.
  • Seasonal Tasks: Execute seasonal maintenance tasks including overseeding, topdressing, and snow removal as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and other staff to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure the course meets the highest standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in turf management, horticulture, or related fields is a plus.
  • Proven experience in golf course maintenance, with strong skills in equipment operation and turf care.
  • Technical proficiency in the maintenance and repair of machinery and irrigation systems.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent helpful.
  • Minimum of one-year related job experience.

Language Skills:

The individual must have strong written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.


Availability:

 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM, Sunday-Thursday
