Retreat Psychotherapy Services is on the lookout for passionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to provide exceptional therapeutic services to our diverse clientele. This role is designed for a fully remote setting, supporting a work-life balance while maintaining high standards of care through virtual interactions. You can work from the comfort of your home while reaching clients across the greater Cambridge, Massachusetts area and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional wellness, identifying their unique needs and establishing appropriate treatment goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques throughout therapeutic processes, including individual sessions, couples therapy, and family engagements.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations in collaboration with clients, ensuring their active involvement in the therapeutic journey.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and timely client documentation, comprising progress notes, treatment plans, and case histories, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and provide timely support for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
  • Remain current with advancements in the field of marriage and family therapy, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and resources tailored to client needs.
  • Advocate for client autonomy and rights while empowering them with the information needed to make informed decisions regarding their treatment.
  • Foster a therapeutic alliance that encourages client engagement, motivation, and progress, keeping their wellness at the center of your practice.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing insights and sharing experiences to contribute to collective learning and organizational growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will be working with a varied client population, including teenagers navigating adolescent challenges, adults facing life transitions, and couples seeking to enhance their relationships. Our approach is inclusive and adaptable, allowing therapists to employ a range of methodologies to address diverse mental health concerns effectively.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State of Massachusetts is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems, along with excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on timely completion of assessments and documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a therapeutic environment focused on both individual and couples therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
