Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling metal commercial door components together with cutting, brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment and other auxiliary equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Fabrication:
    • Measure, cut, and assemble door frames, panels, and other components according to specifications.
    • Utilize various tools and machinery, including saws, welders, and grinders, to fabricate door parts.
    • Ensure all fabricated components meet quality standards and adhere to design specifications.
  • Installation:
    • Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware at various job sites, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
    • Perform on-site adjustments and modifications to ensure a perfect fit and operation of doors.
    • Follow all safety protocols and regulations during installation processes.
  • Maintenance and Repair:
    • Inspect and troubleshoot existing door installations for any issues or malfunctions.
    • Perform necessary repairs or replacements of door components to maintain optimal functionality.
    • Provide regular maintenance services to extend the lifespan of installed doors.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure accurate interpretation of project requirements.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
    • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions related to door installations and maintenance. 

The successful candidate for this position will be mechanically inclined.  Previous commercial door manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required. Job requires individual to perform manual material handling duties in the shop or in the field.  A good driving record will be required.
