JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (Cost Tracker) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) | U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division, Omaha District (USACE NWO) Area of Responsibility (AOR) Generally Located In CONUS - Ten (10) States: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming and across the Mid West Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Cost Tracker | Environmental Management [USACE039044]

The Cost Tracker shall be experienced and responsible for tracking project costs and on cost reimbursement task orders and overall regulatory compliance of all task orders.  Tracking may include Procurement, Wage Rate Determinations, Government property, Subcontracting, Subcontracting goals compliance, and compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 - Ensuring that invoicing, billings, and related activities are performed in accordance with contract requirements, specific task order agreements, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) FAR 31 requirements.

 - A working knowledge of Government fiscal law and Federal Acquisition Regulations. 

 - Track project costs and manage cost reimbursement task orders, ensuring overall regulatory compliance across all task orders.

 - Monitor and manage financial aspects such as Procurement, Wage Rate Determinations, Government property, Subcontracting, and Subcontracting goals compliance.

 - Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

 - Oversee invoicing, billings, and related financial activities to ensure they are performed in accordance with contract requirements, specific task order agreements, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) FAR 31 requirements.

 - Maintain a working knowledge of Government fiscal law and Federal Acquisition Regulations.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For Cost Tracker | Environmental Management [USACE039044] (USACE039044) Candidates:

 - One (1) year of Government accounting/billing experience in a position of increasing complexity and responsibility.

Standard Qualifications:

Experience in tracking and managing project costs, especially in a government contracting environment.

Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government fiscal law.

Proven ability to manage compliance with procurement policies, subcontracting goals, and regulatory requirements.

Experience with cost reimbursement task orders and associated financial tracking.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

  --  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in financial management, cost tracking, or a related field, with a focus on government contracts.    

Professional Licensure (NOT REQUIRED):  Not typically required, but certifications such as Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are advantageous.  Example Certifications related to government financial management or cost accounting include:   

  --  Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM): This certification demonstrates expertise in government financial management and is particularly valuable in roles that involve managing costs and compliance within government contracts.

  --  Certified Management Accountant (CMA): This certification shows proficiency in financial management and strategic financial planning, which can be beneficial for cost tracking and management in this role.

  --  Certified Public Accountant (CPA): While not mandatory, a CPA license may be beneficial for roles that involve extensive financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Skills Required

Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and track complex financial data.

Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
