Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Cost specialists are responsible for managing all costs associated with the assigned line of business as well as interfacing with all aspects and personnel of COMPANY requisition to pay process in order to allow the process to be seamless and delay-free.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, coordinate and maintain building estimates
  • Responsible for tracking and managing cost of various projects
  • Collaborate with various team members and/or other departments on various projects
  • Ensure that any potential risk with the cost of the project is identified and clearly communicated to all relevant stakeholders
  • Responsible for developing forecast while integrating the scope growth process with the forecast
  • Understanding and responsible for extracting data at the WBS and WO level
  • Responsible for performing data analysis
  • Responsible for creating, amending, and closing the purchase order process
  • Creating and closing the experience with project builder, WBS, WO, and Network in the SAP system
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as needed
  • Compile and generate periodic reports and templates all relevant stakeholders
  • Demonstrates strong adherence to Company policies and procedures, as well as company values
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school degree or equivalent education or related field
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Cost Specialist managing or related field preferred
  • 5+ years experience in the Oil and Fabrication Industry
  • 5+ years of experience as a Cost Specialist managing multiple, ongoing, large projects. Experience with managing large volumes of data – such as using Power Platform (Excel –Power Query, SAP, Power Pivot)
  • Strong knowledge/mastery in SAP, Excel, and entire Microsoft Suite of programs. Experience with Power Platform (i.e., Power Query, Power Pivot, Power Bi, Power Apps) not required but preferred
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience operating standard office equipment
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills
  • For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
  • For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
