Corrections Supervisor Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Under the general direction of the Supervising Correctional Cook (SCC) (CF), the Correctional Supervising Cook (CSC) supervises and directs a crew of incarcerated workers in the preparation and service of food for the incarcerated population, responsible to receive, store, rotate, prepare and re-thermalize food. The Correctional Supervising Cook is responsible to ensure proper quantity, quality and acceptable appearance of food items. They coordinate related issues and activities with other CSC's. Prepares reports, both written and oral, prepares daily production schedules and prepares daily meal logbook, meal sample reports, temperature logbook, food usage sheets, and any other related material. Provides safety and operational training for incarcerated workers, maintains incarcerated person (IP) work incentive records and reports, prepares daily timesheets for assigned incarcerated workers, assigns IP work duties, monitors and evaluates IP's performance. Compose IP's disciplinary reports and counseling chronos when necessary. Monitor equipment, refrigeration, safety, security and sanitation in area of assignment and surrounding areas.

Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
