At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

The opportunity

EY-Parthenon’s unique combination of transformative strategy, transactions and corporate finance delivers real‑world value. The EY-Parthenon Strategy and Execution team provides a balanced mix of deep functional expertise, AI‑powered technology, and an investor mindset. You will help shape client strategies, mentor emerging talent, and drive business growth across a broad range of engagements.

Your key responsibilities

Senior Directors are the primary client contacts, translating client needs into project tasks and deliverables. They manage day‑to‑day problem‑solving, lead analytical activities, and act as liaisons among team members, partners, and clients. Directors mentor and develop junior staff and support business development by preparing proposals, participating in pitch meetings, and managing the sales process.

The team tackles projects such as long‑term strategy development for organizations, evaluation of acquisitions, improvement of educational outcomes, new marketing channel strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and new business venture assessments.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Lead the growth of the EY-Parthenon business.
  • Define objectives and scope of strategy engagements in consultation with Partners.
  • Lead teams in executing commercial due diligence and strategy projects.
  • Develop business strategies using market analysis, customer research, macroeconomic forecasting, and portfolio optimization.
  • Drive business development activities in healthcare and across EY-Parthenon.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor junior team members at all levels.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic performance and at least 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience.
  • Experience managing business strategy for healthcare firms in the provider or payer space (biopharma experience is relevant but not sufficient).
  • Experience managing M&A strategic diligence projects in complex environments.
  • Strong quantitative skills for supervising data analysis, interpreting output, and generating insights.
  • Ability to make detailed assessments of industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in the English language, including listening, reading, writing and speaking in a professional environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • An MBA with 3 to 6 years of post‑graduate experience in consulting, operating or investment banking, focused on client advisory or strategic planning within a professional services environment; previous management consulting experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex assignments and develop individual team members.
  • Knowledge of leveraging AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
What we look for

We are interested in professionals who can visualize client goals and think creatively to facilitate progress in complex, politically charged environments. An entrepreneurial spirit and genuine passion for taking on new challenges are key.

What we offer you
  • A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with an annual base salary ranging from $250,000 to $290,000. Total Rewards may include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off.
  • A hybrid work model, with most activities conducted in person 40‑60% of the time, balancing collaboration and flexibility.
  • A flexible vacation policy that allows you to choose the amount of time off based on individual circumstances, with paid holidays, winter/summer breaks, and personal/family care leaves.
