The NRF Foundation shows job seekers how the retail brands they shop can become the places they work. Through our programs, people discover that retail is so much more than the parts they engage with as a customer. The foundational employability skills we provide help career advisors and education professionals spark interest in the retail industry, and ensure job seekers have the skills they need to succeed on day one. We provide more than $1 million in scholarships every year, connecting more than 80,000 learners and more than 3,700 educational and workforce partners with the retail industry. More than 300 retailers and industry partners support our work and help the NRF Foundation ensure that retailers have the quality talent they need for their stores, supply chain facilities and corporate offices.


The NRF Foundation is seeking an intern to support our Corporate Engagement team with planning and executing both virtual and in-person campus events, while also managing registration data collection and analysis and supporting the execution of campus sponsorship commitments. Additional responsibilities include supporting event logistics and assisting with donor stewardship for the Foundation’s annual Honors gala. In this role, the intern will engage with recruiters and leaders from dozens of retail brands including Macy’s, Walmart, AEO, DICK’S Sporting Goods, and many more. The role emphasizes detail-oriented project management, collaborative teamwork, and direct engagement with stakeholders to support the Foundation's initiatives effectively. Location: Remote


Essential Functions:

  • Manage registration systems for virtual and in-person campus programming, tracking registration numbers for 1,500+ students and supporting analysis and reporting on registration and attendance data to draw conclusions on program successes and attendance rates.
  • Assist in the execution of retail campus sponsorship deliverables including tracking retailer involvement and collecting deliverables leading up to events for 30+ companies, supporting career fair logistics, sending reminders and more.
  • Provide strategic support to the Corporate Engagement team by assisting with Honors gala donor stewardship tasks and ensuring the timely delivery of sponsorship deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Engagement team to identify and research prospective donors and develop materials to support impactful donor meetings and presentations.
  • Prepare acknowledgment letters and other materials for Honors gala donors.
  • Provide comprehensive support for the logistical planning and execution of Honors gala to ensure seamless operations and successful outcomes.
  • Serve as on-site sponsor and donor support at the 2027 Student Program conference and Honors gala in NYC and support with overall event execution (January 7-10, 2027).
  • Support Corporate Engagement team with other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current rising junior or senior, graduate student, or recent graduate
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills, familiarity with reading, processing and analyzing data with charts and pivot tables to present results
  • Strong internal and external communication skills and ability to interact with ease with different stakeholders via email and phone
  • Excellent written skills and proofreading ability
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with data analysis and large-volume application review
  • Motivated self-starter who is eager to learn and manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Familiarity with NRF Foundation Campus Programs and has previously attended NRF Foundation Student Program
  • Experience with event planning a plus
  • Must be available to travel to NYC with NRF Foundation team January 6 – 11, 2027
