Summary

The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is the leading patient and research organization service for the more than 125 million people worldwide who live with psoriatic disease. For more than 55 years, NPF has been a dynamic and evolving organization dedicated to finding a cure for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis while supporting anyone impacted. NPF provides free patient support and continuing medical education to be sure those impacted by psoriatic disease are armed with the latest information and resources to manage this chronic, systemic disease.

Position Overview

The Director, Consumer Relations supports the growth and sustainability of NPF’s mission by leading the expansion and management of strategic corporate partnerships, with a primary focus on the Seal of Recognition program and consumer-facing corporate engagement opportunities. This role is responsible for driving business development efforts, cultivating partnerships within the consumer health, skincare, wellness, personal care, and related non-pharmaceutical industries, and ensuring exceptional partner experiences.

The Director will play a key role in expanding the reach, visibility, and revenue of the Seal of Recognition program through strategic prospecting, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration. This position works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support program innovation, growth opportunities, and successful execution of partnership deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Partnership Development & Management

  • Identify, research, and engage prospective corporate partners across consumer health, skincare, wellness, personal care, apparel, beauty, and related non-pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective Seal of Recognition and consumer partnership opportunities.
  • Support the full partnership lifecycle, including outreach, proposal development, contracting support, renewals, stewardship, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Manage a portfolio of active corporate relationships, ensuring partner value is maximized and commitments are fulfilled effectively and efficiently.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with manufacturers, brands, retailers, and industry stakeholders aligned with NPF’s mission and patient community needs.

Seal of Recognition Program Growth & Strategy

  • Lead day-to-day management and growth initiatives for the Seal of Recognition program.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the program into new product categories and consumer market segments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance program visibility, value proposition, participant experience, and revenue growth.
  • Support development of marketing, educational, and promotional strategies that increase awareness and engagement with the Seal of Recognition program.
  • Monitor industry trends, product innovation, and consumer health market activity to identify emerging opportunities for program expansion.

Consumer Partnership Development

  • Support the development of strategic consumer-facing partnerships and campaigns that align with NPF’s mission and organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop partnership opportunities that drive patient education, awareness, engagement, and revenue diversification.
  • Assist in creating customized partnership proposals and activation opportunities tailored to partner objectives and organizational goals.

Strategic Support & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President, Corporate Relations to support strategic planning, forecasting, and partnership pipeline development.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, patient navigation, research, and communications teams to align partnership opportunities with organizational initiatives.
  • Represent NPF professionally in meetings, conferences, trade shows, and industry events as appropriate.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of5years of experience in nonprofit development, corporate partnerships, business development, or related field
  • Experience managing consumer-facing partnerships, sponsorships, or corporate relationships preferred
  • Experience with skincare, wellness, beauty, personal care, healthcare, or related industries preferred
  • Strong relationship-building, prospecting, and business development skills
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
  • Available for occasional overnight travel
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
