General Liability Defense Attorney | Raleigh, NC

This premier, multi-office North Carolina defense firm is currently undergoing a significant growth phase. Known for deep trial experience and strategic advocacy, the firm provides a professional, onsite environment where attorneys are equipped with the resources of a regional leader while maintaining the close-knit collaboration of a dedicated local team.


The Role

Due to a substantial increase in caseload, a regional leader seeks two (2) Civil Defense Attorneys to join the Raleigh office immediately. These onsite positions are designed for motivated litigators ready to manage the full litigation lifecycle, from initial carrier reporting to jury trials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Litigation Strategy: Develop and execute defense strategies for general liability, premises liability, and commercial disputes.
  • Courtroom Advocacy: Argue motions, attend hearings, and lead discovery in both state and federal courts.
  • Depositions: Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
  • Reporting: Maintain consistent communication with insurance claims examiners and corporate risk managers.
  • Trial Preparation: Manage mediations and lead trial preparation for complex casualty cases.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of civil litigation experience (Insurance Defense preferred).
