Position Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the District Manager oversees a portfolio of stores, ensuring excellence in operations, team development, profitability, and compliance. This role is pivotal to advancing the Seasons Corner Market brand and ensuring every location reflects our commitment to quality, service, and community.

The District Manager partners with Store Managers to drive performance, foster accountability, and maintain consistency across all stores under their supervision. This position also provides oversight for one Training Store, ensuring consistent onboarding and development standards for all new hires.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Supervise Store Managers, setting clear expectations and providing coaching and performance feedback.
    • Evaluate management performance, reinforce company policies, and oversee employment reviews, compensation requests, and disciplinary actions.
    • Cultivate a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer-first service.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure stores meet company standards in appearance, cleanliness, staffing levels, and customer service.
    • Conduct regular audits (cash, lottery, cigarette, inventory) and provide timely corrective action as needed.
    • Support store operations during technology outages, emergencies, and special events.
  • Financial Management:
    • Analyze and manage P&L statements for all stores within the district.
    • Monitor labor costs, scheduling, and payroll compliance to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Develop strategies to maximize gross profit and minimize loss.
  • Training & Compliance:
    • Oversee training programs within the district, including one dedicated Training Store.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and food safety regulations.
    • Reinforce best practices for inventory management, cash handling, and operational controls.
  • Communication & Reporting:
    • Conduct regular one-on-one and group meetings with Store Managers to share goals, initiatives, and new procedures.
    • Maintain open communication with the Operations Manager, escalating issues and sharing performance updates promptly.
    • Collaborate with peers and leadership teams during inventories, store openings, conversions, and special projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in convenience store or fuel retail operations (including car wash operations preferred)
  • Proven success in leading multiple store locations and managing diverse teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel frequently within assigned territory
