Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking a Copy Room Operator to support the United States Marshals Service (USMS) by providing high-volume document reproduction, printing, and copy center support services. The selected individual will be responsible for operating and maintaining copy center equipment, processing print requests, organizing production schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in support of agency operations. The Copy Room Operator must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Copy Room Operator Tasks and Duties:
  • Receive documents and materials for duplication within the USMS in-house copy center.
  • Review print and duplication requests for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate duplicating and finishing requirements with internal customers.
  • Analyze incoming print jobs and schedule production activities accordingly.
  • Operate copy center equipment including copiers, printers, scanners, labelers, folders, staplers, finishers, booklet makers, drills, and trimmers.
  • Perform document assembly functions such as collating, binding, laminating, and cover inserting.
  • Maintain job production records and equipment maintenance records.
  • Perform minor maintenance on copy center equipment including toner replacement and clearing paper jams.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of paper, toner, staples, and other copy center supplies.
  • Coordinate supply restocking with warehouse or equipment points of contact.
  • Notify customers when print jobs are completed and prepare materials for shipment or delivery as needed.
  • Deliver completed materials to the USMS mailroom when required.
  • Handle confidential and time-sensitive documents appropriately.
Copy Room Operator Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background investigation.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a high-volume copy center environment preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience with binding and collating copied materials.
  • Experience handling confidential and/or urgent documents.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple functional tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift and/or move boxes, paper, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Compensation:

This position is tied to a federally designated labor category with a fixed hourly rate of $21.33/hr.
