Known is looking for a Creative Director with a Copy focus to join the Studios, leading and developing big idea-driven creative for clients across industries. The role demands great strategic thinking, flawless execution, bold innovation, passion, and optimism. The Creative Director, Copy will also oversee the development and execution of brand creative inclusive of TV, social, digital, OOH, and experience marketing. This position knows how to tell stories through words on any platform. Our ideal candidate will be a leader for their teams, clients and the agency. They are an innovative, collaborative and hands-on leader who has experience developing and executing highly impactful creative approaches for clients across industries. They also excel at building strong cross-functional relationships in fast paced organization. Healthcare & Lifestyle/Wellness experience, amongst a diverse client/industry portfolio, is preferred. 

Note: This is a temp-to-perm position with a 2-3 month introductory period prior to conversion to a full-time role with benefits.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead concept development for/copywriting execution of brand and 360 product marketing campaigns across TV, digital, social and print
  • Actively oversee and lead a team of best-in-class creatives at all levels-mentoring them and developing their skills
  • Roll up your sleeves and get into the programs/mocks/decks when needed, while also knowing when to lead and when to help
  • Be both a leader for the team and a thought leader to stakeholders and collaborators from a brand and messaging standpoint
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer target's mindsets, attitudes, & behaviors to inform strong empathetic and strategic executions.
  • Manage the creative process from concept to execution
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies and outputs
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
  • Oversee deliverables as well as adhere to timelines and creative budgets
  • Represent creative output throughout the wider org, presenting to key stakeholders and communicating with internal teams and agencies
  • Manage multiple projects, with the ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly while staying on deadline and within budget
  • Review and approve the work of all direct reports before seeking the approval of the Group Creative Director / President, Studios for dissemination to other departments or clients
  • Provide regular performance feedback to direct reports, including crafting and delivering performance reviews
  • Partner with the Creative Operations team on resourcing and scheduling staff to drive success across projects
  • Work closely with Client, Strategy, and Media team members to ensure that our briefs can spark groundbreaking creative-and that the creative is grounded in consumer insights, and business goals

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE/WHO YOU ARE

  • You have a portfolio featuring a wide range of creative campaigns, a diversity of creative ideas and approaches to solving problems with a focus on articulating strategic, breakthrough ideas across a myriad of channels
  • You possess a strong aptitude for copywriting and storytelling across advertising mediums
  • You maintain a solid understanding of how creativity can achieve business objectives while still meeting and encouraging brand standards for aesthetic and communication quality
  • You have strong analytical ability and clear and effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • You regularly display optimism and excitement for your work, a love for the next big challenge, and a passion for business impact
  • You are a positive, motivating leader, able to manage and nurture an emerging team of talented creatives
  • You can collaborate with team members at all levels to ensure projects are effective and meet brand guidelines, compliance and overall project goals.
  • You have an understanding of all aspects of brand marketing creative, including brand development, TV, social, digital, advertising, OOH, retail/POS, media and environmental/experiential design
  • You have experience and skill to drive the development of new business and client review decks and various communication vehicles
  • You demonstrate a creative and strategy-driven POV in developing best-in-class integrated marketing campaigns and programs
  • You are adept at multitasking while coordinating multiple projects and resources, delivering under tight timelines and adapting quickly to change
  • You have a proven ability to quickly identify problems and solve them

YOUR BACKGROUND INCLUDES

  • 8-10+ years of creative advertising experience developing content and campaigns
  • Undergraduate degree in one or more of the following fields: Communications, Advertising, Branding, Marketing, or a related field
