Circle of Greatness is seeking a highly strategic and performance-driven Copy Director to lead all copy across our email, SMS, funnel, and website marketing ecosystem.
This role is responsible for owning messaging across the entire customer journey - from first touchpoint to conversion. You will manage and mentor junior copywriters, collaborate directly with partners, and ensure every piece of communication aligns with both brand voice and revenue goals.
The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical - someone who understands how to craft compelling messaging and optimize it across funnels, campaigns, and web experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Copy Leadership & Strategy
-Own and oversee all copy across email, SMS, funnels, and website pages
-Define messaging frameworks, campaign angles, and conversion strategies
-Guide and develop junior copywriters on tone, structure, and execution
-Set clear standards for what "high-performing" copy looks like
Quality Control
-Review, edit, and approve all outgoing copy across campaigns and web assets
-Ensure consistency in brand voice across all platforms and partners
-Maintain a high bar for clarity, persuasion, and conversion effectiveness
Performance & Optimization
-Analyze performance across campaigns and funnels (open rates, CTR, conversions, revenue)
-Identify winning messaging patterns and scale them
-Continuously test, iterate, and optimize copy across email, SMS, and web pages
-Use data to inform creative and strategic decisions
Client & Partner Management
-Act as the primary copy lead for 4-5 key partners
-Collaborate on campaign, funnel, and offer strategy
-Ensure all deliverables align with partner goals and expectations
Campaign & Funnel Execution
-Work closely with junior copywriters to produce high-quality campaigns and funnel assets
-Oversee copy for landing pages, sales pages, and key website touchpoints
-Support launches for promotions, events, and marketing initiatives
-Ensure all copy is delivered accurately and on time
Requirements
-Proven experience in copywriting and managing copy teams, preferably in digital marketing
-Strong expertise in email, SMS, funnel, and website copywriting
-Track record of writing or directing copy that drives measurable results (revenue, conversions)
-Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
-Ability to balance creative direction with data-driven decision-making
-Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
-High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Nice to Have
-Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth or entrepreneurial environments
-Experience managing multiple brands or partners simultaneously
-Familiarity with tools like GoHighLevel, Klaviyo, Postscript, Attentive, or similar platforms
-Understanding of direct response marketing and funnel strategy
What Success Looks Like
-Campaigns and funnels consistently improve in open rates, CTR, conversions, and revenue
-Website and funnel copy clearly communicate value and drive action
-Messaging is consistent, compelling, and aligned across all channels
-Junior copywriters are producing higher-quality, conversion-focused work
-Copy becomes a core driver of revenue growth for Circle of Greatness
