Job description

TACG is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support Logistics Mission Support Applications (LMSA) operations through systems administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity support Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise in maintaining hardware, software, and network infrastructure while ensuring compliance with Information Assurance (IA) and security requirements.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Perform system administration, maintenance, patching, and software updates for LMSA systems.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot client workstations and network environments.
  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Assist in evaluating, recommending, and integrating new technologies and systems.
  • Support system lifecycle management and operational readiness activities.
  • Coordinate Information Assurance (IA) activities and ensure compliance with security requirements.
  • Prepare systems for operational use and support operational testing activities.
  • Develop and maintain automated tracking tools and system data archives.
  • Coordinate system updates, patches, and upgrades with Government stakeholders.
  • Maintain site security documentation and assist with risk management activities.
  • Track equipment warranties, software upgrades, and asset management requirements.
  • Support relocation, installation, and configuration of approved equipment and applications.

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Clearance
    • Active Secret Security Clearance required
  • Education & Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
    • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required
  • Required Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration, information security, or related technical environments
    • Experience supporting Federal Government programs preferred
  • Required Skill and Competencies
    • LAN administration and Windows Server management experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Experience with HBSS, McAfee Antivirus, and Backup Exec solutions.
    • Knowledge of Information Assurance, cybersecurity principles, and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments.
