Job description

Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to support our domestic and international shipping operations. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing transportation documentation, working with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and ensuring the smooth movement of products to customers around the world.

The ideal candidate will have experience in international logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including ocean, air, and LTL freight
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and customs documentation
  • Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely shipment movement
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation and delivery issues
  • Request and evaluate freight quotes to support cost-effective transportation solutions
  • Coordinate weekly shipment consolidations from warehouse locations to key customers
  • Review, reconcile, and approve freight invoices
  • Analyze logistics processes and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements
  • Generate and maintain logistics reports and shipment records
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications


Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with international shipping and logistics operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities


Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
  • Experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager
  • Knowledge of OzLink quote system and Descartes Customs applications
  • Experience coordinating drop shipments from domestic and international suppliers
