Registered Nurse- RN Full-Time Overnight Shift

CooperRiis: A Holistic Approach to Mental Health Recovery
CooperRiis is a voluntary residential mental health treatment facility that does not provide detox services. We take a holistic approach to care, emphasizing the health and wellness of both our residents and our staff.
Our philosophy centers on respecting the autonomy of each individual, fostering a sense of community, and using a strength-based model to support mental health recovery. We believe that healing is most effective when people feel empowered, connected, and supported.
Our Nursing Team plays a vital role in this journey. They have the time and space to build meaningful relationships with residents, offer personalized education, and provide individualized support throughout the recovery process.
Location: Asheville, NC
Schedule:
  • Monday - Thursday 10:30 pm - 8 am

Pay:
  • LPN starting at $24.50 - $29.00 per hour based on experience.
  • RN starting at $27.00 - $32.00 per hour based on experience.
  • 3rd shift includes a shift differential.
Responsibilities:
  • Draw blood, monitor vital signs, give first aid, assess physical concerns, make outside medical appointments as needed
  • Process and review all medication refills and orders
  • Pack medications and determine eligibility for self-administer medications
  • Discuss and educate residents on their medications
  • Assesses residents with physical health complaints, schedules appointments with external providers, and provides follow up care
  • Collects FBG, breathalyzer, urine drug screens
  • Maintain proper documentation of medications, appointments, physical health concerns
  • Provides crisis intervention and assists with hospitalization when necessary
  • Communicates with Integrative Health Specialist regarding supplements, dietary concerns, and additional weight monitoring
  • Completes required procedures and documentation for all changes with residents
Qualifications:
  • Previous psychiatric experience preferred
  • NC licensed or compact license as an RN
