Job Summary:
Menorah Park is seeking a full-time Cook, variable shift, every other weekend off to provide quality cooking services in our dietary services department. This individual contributor role will be paid an hourly rate of $20.99 to 21.63 and will be located in Syracuse, New York.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers an hourly rate of $20.99 to 21.63 paid vacation and sick time, health insurance, and other benefits.
Responsibilities:
-Assist the Kitchen Manager in the preparation of meals.
-Ensure food preparation practices comply with all applicable safety requirements, protocols, and guidelines.
-Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
-Performs general duties of kitchen organization, sanitation, food safety, and pricing.
-Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient delivery of meals.
-Adheres to established sanitation regulations, food safety procedures and department rules, policies, and guidelines.
Requirements:
-High school education or equivalent.
-2+ years cooking experience in a high volume kitchen preferred but not required.
-Food Handler's Certification/Permit preferred but not required.
-Knowledge of proper safety procedures and temperature control.
-Ability to work flexible schedules.
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
