    Training and kitchen opening will take place the week before school starts on August 24-26.

    Job Responsibilities

    1. Supervise the daily meal preparation and service in accordance with Federal, State and local safety and sanitation regulations.
    2. Collect information and maintain operational records, including daily food production records, inventory records, daily temperature logs and quality assurance forms.
    3. Provide supervision over the kitchen staff, including completing performance reviews, approving time sheets, maintaining absence logs, inspecting work stations, and training new staff.
    4. Work alongside Kitchen staff including: food prep, servings, cashiering and end of day tasks.
    5. Oversee the receiving, storage and ordering of the building's food and supplies.
    6. Attend monthly Team Leaders' meetings.
    7. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.


    Job Qualifications

    1. MN Department of Health Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring date. Must maintain.
    2. Membership in School Nutrition Association (SNA) and Level 4 completion within 90 days from date of hire. Must maintain.
    3. Two years work experience in school food service or in a related food service operation.
    4. Supervisory experience preferred.
    5. Evidence of good organizational skills.
    6. Basic computer skills.
    7. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction to coworkers, supervisor, the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
    8. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds) as assessed through a preplacement physical at Concentra.
