WORK HOURS:
8.0 hours per day (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a half hour break) Monday through Friday, 172 contract days (170 student contact plus 2 inservice days prior to the school year) beginning the 2026-2027 school year.
JOB DUTIES:
Assist Head Cook in preparing/serving food, and cleanup following lunch and breakfast. Take over when the head cook is absent. Help head cook manage inventory and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be Serve Safe certified or able to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment. Good communication skills and dependable. Ability to adjust to change quickly, work at a fast pace, and multi-task, fill out order guides and production records accurately, and work with all staff in a professional manner. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme temperatures (i.e. heat, freezer). Knowledge of the following equipment: fryers, slicer, mixers, steamers and ovens.
SALARY and BENEFITS:
Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees' Agreement Level VI from $22.64 up to $25.07 per hour.
