Our client, a leading law firm based in Downtown Miami, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead and manage all financial operations of the firm. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring fiscal responsibility, financial reporting accuracy, compliance, and strategic support to firm leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in law firm financial management, with a strong command of accounting best practices, budgeting, forecasting, and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the firm’s financial operations, including accounting, billing, payroll, financial planning, and analysis
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and provide strategic insights to senior management
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting and billing team
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with firm goals
  • Monitor cash flow, trust accounting, and compliance with financial controls and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking institutions
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems, reporting tools, and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific accounting standards and best practices
  • Prepare financial dashboards, KPIs, and profitability analysis for firm leadership
