Job description

GHJ Search & Staffing is partnering with a growing apparel manufacturing and private label company with approximately $100M in annual revenue that is seeking a Financial Controller to join its leadership team.
This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO and overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, audit support, and cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead month-end and year-end close
  • Manage AP, AR, GL, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Oversee cost accounting, inventory, WIP, and inventory-in-transit
  • Manage factoring relationships and A/R financing
  • Lead audits and ensure GAAP compliance
  • Partner with Production, Sourcing, Logistics, and Executive Leadership
  • Manage and develop the accounting team

Ideal Background:
  • Prior Controller experience
  • Apparel manufacturing, wholesale, private label, or import production experience
  • Strong cost accounting and inventory accounting knowledge
  • QuickBooks Online expertise
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in high-volume transaction environments
  • Factoring and financing experience is a plus
