The Accounting & Finance Intern at MOFC will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations within the department. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including the processing of donations to ensure transparency and accountability in our funding efforts. The intern will assist with payables, contributing to our overall financial health, and engage in reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to create and generate reports that provide valuable insights into our financial activities.

By taking on these essential tasks and projects, the intern will gain practical experience and a deeper understanding of the financial processes critical to nonprofit management.

To succeed as an Accounting & Finance Intern at Mid-Ohio Food Collective, candidates must possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, as well as strong analytical skills which are crucial for processing donations, managing payables, and performing reconciliations accurately.

Proficiency in accounting software and tools will allow the intern to efficiently create reports and manage financial tasks. Additionally, attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities will be vital for addressing challenges and contributing to the organization’s mission. A customer-centric mindset will further enhance the intern’s ability to collaborate effectively within the team and deliver quality results.

To be considered for this position, you must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, majoring in Accounting or Finance.

This internship is offered on a year long basis, with a minimum work commitment of 15 hours/week during the school year.
