Panel Technician
Job Summary
The Panel Technician plays a critical role in supporting Holloway America’s electrical and controls operations through the fabrication, assembly, wiring, and testing of industrial control panels and automation systems. This position is responsible for reading electrical schematics and vessel blueprints, assembling components, wiring panels to specification, and supporting quality and production standards throughout the build process.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual works collaboratively with engineering, fabrication, production, and operations teams to ensure panels and automation systems are built accurately, tested thoroughly, and delivered on time.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring schematics, and vessel blueprints.
  • Wire industrial control panels according to electrical schematics and specifications.
  • Perform panel fabrication, assembly, and component installation.
  • Mount and connect electrical components including breakers, relays, PLCs, disconnects, and terminal blocks.
  • Install and wire electrical devices and automation components accurately and efficiently.
  • Test completed systems for functionality, continuity, and safety compliance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot common wiring and assembly issues.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and quality control guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management of electrical parts and components.
  • Collaborate with engineering and fabrication department leads to support project completion and workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain organized work areas and help uphold a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Qualifications amp; Experience
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Ability to wire control panels according to schematics and specifications.
  • Experience with panel fabrication and assembly preferred.
  • Prior automation training or experience with panel assembly preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot common wiring and assembly issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with NEC / NFPA-70 standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with UL-508A standards is a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing, electrical assembly, controls, or automation experience preferred but not required depending on experience level.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for wiring, assembly, testing, and tool operation.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to safely operate tools and equipment required for panel assembly, fabrication, and testing.
