Lead DataStage Engineer

Mandatory Skills:

  • 8–10 years of experience in IBM DataStage (Development + Admin)
  • Strong expertise in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and cron jobs
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming
  • Strong experience with Control-M administration and scheduling
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Proven experience in production support, incident management, and RCA
  • Experience leading teams and handling stakeholder communication

Job Summary:

  • Seeking a Lead DataStage Engineer with strong development and administrative expertise to own ETL platform delivery, lead support operations, and drive stability, performance, and continuous improvement across data integration systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of DataStage support engineers
  • Own end-to-end DataStage ETL platform (development, administration, and support)
  • Design, develop, and enhance ETL jobs and workflows
  • Administer DataStage (user roles, security, deployments, and migrations)
  • Troubleshoot job failures across DataStage and Unix environments
  • Drive incident management, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and debug shell scripts and Python-based automation
  • Manage Control-M (job monitoring, failure handling, scheduling, agent upgrades)
  • Configure SAP/Unix jobs, calendars, and workload policies
