Shift: $38/hr.,DOE; 10 PM - 6:30 AM EST, Mon to Fri, 12 Months Contract W2 Seeking an experienced Automation, Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support manufacturing operations by implementing, testing, troubleshooting, and improving electronic automation and control systems. This role ensures optimal production quality, efficiency, and reliability through preventive maintenance, system diagnostics, and technical upgrades across mechanical and automated production equipment.
Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Motor Controls, VFDs, Instrumentation, PLCs, and Graphical Terminal Interfaces (HMI).
- Develop and modify control applications using Ladder Logic Programming, PLC systems, DCS, SCADA, CNC, and Motion Control Technologies.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and batching/processing equipment.
- Diagnose issues using control schematics, testing equipment, and software tools.
- Execute mechanical repairs including welding, valve, pipe, and solenoid selection.
- Lead shift maintenance activities and support work order planning and parts tracking.
- Maintain compliance with GMP standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
- Support network-connected systems including Data Networks, Switches, Routers, and Servers.
- Perform Board-Level Troubleshooting and software system diagnostics.
Qualifications: - Technical school certification or related training.
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance and equipment reliability experience.
- Hands-on expertise in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, Welding, and PLC Programming.
- Experience with SCADA Systems and industrial automation software.
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts.
- Must supply personal maintenance tools.
- Proficient in computer systems and maintenance software.
