Job description

Role: Software Developer (Contractor working on site)

Locations: On-site at our Cupertino (preferred), San Diego 

Target start: ASAP

About the role

The team builds and operates the platform behind a number of critical Wallet & Payment offerings. This developer will work with our Platform team to design and develop tools and platform capabilities used across the WPC organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of solid software development experience
  • Strong command of at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go
  • Strong in backend development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed/parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, or systems/security software development
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and containerd
  • Expertise with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or CodeDeploy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams

Preferred

  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience
  • Hands-on AWS experience
  • Databases and middleware โ€” Postgres, Kafka, Redis
  • Big data stack โ€” data warehousing, MPP, Spark, Flink
  • Micro-service architecture and service mesh
  • UI development experience

Screening will be 2 technical rounds with the team, need candidates with hands-on expertise.
