Job description

Job Summary

The Contracts Specialist is an early-career position that supports DSI Tech’s public sector proposal and contract functions, with a focus on SLED and Federal opportunities. This role assists with contract-related activities, compliance, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination to help deliver timely, accurate, competitive, and high-quality submissions. The position also supports contract operations, process improvements, and deliverables that contribute to business growth and organizational objectives.

This position is based in Ashburn, Virginia, with a hybrid work schedule available after the initial 90 days onsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with contract execution, administration, compliance, and related documentation in accordance with contract requirements, government regulations, company policies, and applicable laws.
  • Support coordination with executive leadership, sales leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, and cross-functional teams on contract requirements, reporting schedules, and related follow-up items.
  • Assist in identifying, tracking, and escalating contractual, compliance, and proposal-related risks or issues for review by the Contracts and Proposals Manager.
  • Maintain company business licenses and state registrations, including coordinating related fee payments with the Accounting department.
  • Maintain and assist with renewals of companywide small business and minority certifications.
  • Maintain company insurance policy records and provide certificates of insurance to customers as needed.
  • Maintain and support companywide logins for regulatory websites and assist the administrative team with related access needs.
  • Assist with maintaining contractual and proposal tools, templates, content libraries, records, and reporting practices to support consistency, efficiency, and team effectiveness.
  • Serve as a point of coordination between internal departments, external partners, vendors, and customers to support contract and proposal activities.
  • Inform and coordinate with the Contracts and Proposals Manager on questions, updates, or issues related to assigned contractual duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company, customer, contract, and proposal information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, English, Communications, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • One to two years of experience in contracts, proposals, government procurement, administrative support, or a related business support role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review, organize, and maintain contract, proposal, compliance, and administrative documentation accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate professionally with internal teams, vendors, partners, and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow deadlines, track details, and escalate questions or issues appropriately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications required.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Salary

The typical salary range for this role is:

$60,000-$75,000 annually
