We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job to the highest standard. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service
How will you do it
  • Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
  • Apprentices will participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.
  • Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.
  • You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.
  • You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for
  • This position requires a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel 75-100% of the time as part of the IMPACT Fly Team
  • Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
  • 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
  • Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
  • Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site
  • Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.
  • Prioritize safety in all forms.

Preferred
  • 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.

*This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
Pay Range: $27.55 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
