Job Summary:
Acendion Collective is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead high-performing application development teams. The role involves blending technical leadership with people management to deliver scalable software solutions that support critical business operations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Drive application design, development, and delivery using modern engineering practices and technologies.
• Collaborate with business leaders, architects, and product teams to define and deliver scalable solutions.
• Oversee vendor partnerships and ensure successful delivery of externally supported solutions.
• Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and governance processes.
• Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines to ensure efficient execution of technology initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, system design, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure software quality through testing strategies, code reviews, and performance monitoring.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts, including process optimization and adoption of new tools and frameworks.
• Stay current on industry trends and bring innovative ideas to improve systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience leading software engineering or application development teams.
