Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICA Architect with a strong background in SAP BRIM
(Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) and Convergent Invoicing (CI). The ideal candidate
will be responsible for designing and leading the implementation of complex billing, invoicing, and
financial accounting solutions for large-scale BRIM projects, ensuring seamless integration with
other SAP modules and external systems.
Key Responsibilities:
 Lead architecture, design, and implementation of SAP FICA and Convergent Invoicing
solutions within BRIM projects.
 Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into
scalable, reliable SAP FICA solutions.
 Design end-to-end billing, invoicing, dunning, and collections processes using FICA/CI
components.
 Provide technical leadership for the integration of SAP FICA with SAP Subscription Billing,
SAP SOM (Sales Order Management), SAP CC (Convergent Charging), and external systems.
 Define data models, process flows, and integration touchpoints across the BRIM landscape.
 Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and compliance standards in design and
deployment.
 Drive system enhancements, optimizations, and upgrades in the FICA/BRIM space.
 Lead workshops, design sessions, and architecture discussions with client teams and internal
stakeholders.
 Troubleshoot complex issues across FICA, CI, and their integration points with CRM, SD, CC,
and external applications.
 Mentor and guide consultants and developers on FICA/CI topics.
 Develop architectural artifacts including functional specifications, technical designs,
integration diagrams, and solution blueprints.
 Support pre-sales activities by providing expertise in solution architecture and effort
estimation when needed.
Required Qualifications:
 12+ years of overall SAP experience, with at least 5+ years specialized in SAP FICA and
Convergent Invoicing.
 Deep understanding of SAP BRIM components: SAP CC, CI, FICA, SOM, Subscription Billing,
and Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
 Strong experience in configuring and customizing SAP FICA processes (invoicing, payments,
dunning, collections, interest calculation, installment plans).
 Hands-on experience with integration of FICA with SAP CC and SOM.
 Knowledge of event-based revenue recognition (SAP RAR) and FI-GL integration.
 Experience in architecting solutions for industries like Telecom, Utilities, Media, or High-Tech
is highly desirable.
 Strong understanding of master data structures (business partner, contract accounts, etc.)
within SAP BRIM.
 Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred.
 Expertise in SAP FICA enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits.
 Ability to guide data migration, conversion, and interface strategies for FICA data.
 Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Preferred Skills:
 SAP Certification in FICA, BRIM, or S/4HANA.
 Experience with SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) for integration scenarios.
 Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
 Knowledge of tax integrations (Vertex, Avalara) within the FICA environment.
 Exposure to modern architecture styles such as API-driven integrations.
Education:
 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related fields.
