Overview
Bluewater Federal is looking for a Product Owner to support the USAF at Maxwell AFB.
The Base Maintenance (BMx) Family of Systems program provides critical lifecycle support for enterprise U.S. Air Force logistics and maintenance systems that enable global mission readiness and sustainment operations.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the product backlog owner for assigned BMx systems or capability areas.
  • Work with Government stakeholders, Functional SMEs, Help Desk personnel, Scrum Masters, System Architects, and DevSecOps leadership to align backlog priorities with mission requirements, maintenance workflows, PMEL operations, modernization objectives, cybersecurity requirements, and cloud migration activities.
  • Responsible for backlog refinement, user story prioritization, acceptance criteria development, technical debt prioritization, modernization sequencing, and release alignment.
  • Balance sustainment demands, emergent deficiencies, modernization initiatives, and operational priorities to help Agile teams deliver the highest value without disrupting mission-critical workflows.
  • Support modernization evaluation, assesses operational impacts, prioritizes technical debt, and coordinates release readiness activities affecting maintenance scheduling, calibration workflows, readiness reporting, and enterprise logistics operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of enterprise application support experience.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Experience with Agile backlog management, requirements analysis, user story decomposition, operational workflow analysis, enterprise system sustainment, and functional mission support.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager and Scrum Product Owner certifications preferred.
  • Functional experience in maintenance, logistics, or PMEL environments preferred.
