SAFe Product Owner

Location: WASHINGTON, District of Columbia (Locals)

As a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner for a You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Architecture, to define, prioritize, and validate solutions under development. Your expertise will ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs, driving product success.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Ownership: Serve as the primary contact for the product, defining, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Prioritization: Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility, focusing on high-priority items.
  • Requirements Gathering: Elicit and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and development teams, to align with the product vision.
  • Agile Framework: Implement and champion the principles of the SAFe framework, ensuring adherence to agile methodologies.
  • Roadmap Development: Contribute to the product roadmap, outlining delivery schedules and milestones.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically, a minimum of 8+ years as an agile product owner, with a bachelors degree or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree with 5+ years of related experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of agile methodologies and the SAFe framework.
