JOB TITLE: Reliability Engineer
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $46.11/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

Summary: 

  • Develop and maintain component-level FMECA worksheets (MIL-STD-1629A or equivalent)

  • Identify failure modes, causes, and effects on system performance

  • Assign criticality rankings and define mitigation strategies

  • Update FMECA results throughout the product lifecycle and capture lessons learned

  • Define accelerated life test plans using models such as Arrhenius and Coffin-Manson

  • Coordinate and support test execution with internal labs

  • Analyze test data and provide reliability insights and recommendations

  • Support root cause analysis and risk assessments

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance to Start. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

  • 1–3 years of hands-on reliability engineering experience

  • Experience with FMECA and accelerated aging/thermal cycling tests

  • Knowledge of reliability standards (MIL-STD-1629A, IEC 60812, etc.)

  • Understanding of failure physics, degradation mechanisms, and material behavior

  • Experience developing/interpreting test plans (ASTM, IEC, MIL standards)

  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and documentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • FMECA & reliability analysis

  • Accelerated life testing

  • Root cause analysis

  • Data analysis & statistical modeling

  • Technical documentation & reporting

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Model-Based Engineering tools (e.g., Cameo)

  • Familiarity with reliability software (ReliaSoft, Weibull++, ANSYS Reliability)

  • Experience with statistical tools (Minitab, R, Python)

  • Hands-on experience with hardware testing and troubleshooting

  • Ability to solve complex technical problems

  • Experience managing subcontractors or external partners
