Job description

Position Summary:

We represent a well-established general contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up multifamily construction projects in the Inland Empire.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented builder who can take full ownership of project execution—from preconstruction through closeout—while managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships. The initial project is a 110-unit slab-on-grade townhome development, with a strong pipeline of similar residential work to follow.

You’ll work closely with field leadership, ownership, and subcontractors to drive successful project delivery, ensuring all financial, contractual, and operational aspects are executed at a high level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout for ground-up multifamily projects
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
• Lead subcontractor buyout, contract negotiation, and scope alignment
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement processes
• Track project costs, manage budgets, and ensure profitability targets are met
• Work closely with the Superintendent to align field operations with schedule and budget goals
• Coordinate with ownership, architects, consultants, and city agencies throughout the project
• Manage project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements
• Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, and cost impacts
• Drive project milestones and ensure timely completion and turnover of units/phases

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience on ground-up multifamily or residential construction projects
• Strong experience managing wood-frame construction and slab-on-grade product types
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor scopes on multi-phase projects
• Experience with contract management, buyout, and cost control
• Strong understanding of construction documents, plans, and specifications
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders including field teams, clients, and consultants
• Proficiency with Procore, Excel, and project management software
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off and company holidays
• Bonus potential tied to project performance
