2nd shift Production Lead
Job Summary
The Production Lead oversees a team of 8-10 employees on 2nd shift, ensuring production, safety, and quality goals are met. This hands-on role supports daily operations, employee performance, and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support production team members.
- Coordinate workflow to meet production schedules.
- Monitor performance and drive improvements.
- Partner with maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Enforce safety standards and company policies.
- Track attendance and support employee accountability.
- Communicate updates across departments.
Qualifications
Required
- Manufacturing experience.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Paint shop or industrial coating experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Lockout/Tagout knowledge.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
