Job description

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with the organization’s mission.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and long-range financial planning efforts.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of grant and contract administration.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management.
  • At least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role within a nonprofit organization.
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with grant and contract management, including federal grants and private foundation funding.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • A valid California Driver’s License is required.
