Marine Project Planner / Scheduler (with Estimating Experience)

Job Description
We have an urgent need for an experienced Marine Project Planner/Scheduler with a strong background in marine estimation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing integrated production schedules, building comprehensive bid packages for government contracts, and sourcing accurate pricing for materials and subcontractors.
This role requires a deep understanding of NAVSEA standards and a proven track record of managing schedules for complex naval ship repair availabilities, including CMAVs.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrated Production Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and logic-link comprehensive resource-loaded schedules using Integrated Production Scheduling (IPS) systems.
- Government Bidding & Estimating: Review Technical Specifications and drawings to estimate labor, material, and subcontractor costs. Bid entire government packages, with a heavy focus on CMAVs.
- Compliance: Ensure all project scheduling and milestones strictly adhere to NAVSEA Standard Item 009-111 regulations and reporting requirements.
- Procurement & Subcontractor Coordination: Gather precise, competitive pricing for raw materials, specialized components, and subcontractor services.
- Progress Tracking: Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to track physical progress, analyze critical path variances, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3โ5+ years of experience in Marine Planning and Scheduling within a Navy shipyard environment.
- Estimating Background: Proven experience performing estimation, material take-offs, and subcontractor sourcing for ship repair bids.
- Technical Expertise: Absolute proficiency in IPS systems and software (e.g., Primavera P6 or Open Plan).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Item 009-111 is mandatory.
- Project Scope: Direct experience bidding and scheduling government packages, specifically CMAVs.
- Clearance: Must be eligible for, or currently possess, DBIDS credentials for shipyard access.
