Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research to support contract understanding; identify relationships and state general principles of basic contract law, facts and terms; improve FAR/UCC knowledge; or gain technical insight.
  • Understand and apply policies, procedures, and other regulatory requirements during the pre-award process, award/contract set-up, and administration of a contract.
  • Performs contract setup and administration, in accordance with checklists and policies, in corporate systems, assists in organization and maintenance of contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance.
  • Draft simple to moderate contractual instruments, correspondence, memoranda, and other documentation commensurate with skills and Specialist/Managerial oversight.
  • Assists mid- to high-level contract professionals in working with internal or external business teams/clients on issues and developments related to assigned contracts.
  • Assist Specialists, Managers, and project teams with identification of issues which could become contract changes and change management tracking.
  • Ensures contract document reviews, approvals and execution in accordance with corporate and/or business unit guidelines.
  • Assists with and/or performs contract reporting functions for compliance with legal, FAR, regulatory, other contract terms and conditions, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • May conduct research to support contract audit and or facilitate business unit contracting trends.
  • Performs contract closeout activities including Release of Claims, other closeout certifications, and final contract performance reporting.
  • May perform these actions related to subcontracts and procurement actions, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • Minimum 2 yrs experience.
  • Some proficiency in understanding and applying contract policy and practice founded in corporate policy, the Federal Acquisition Regulation and its supplements, Uniform Commercial Code, and other professional publications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • Schedule is full-time, Monday - Friday 40-hour work week.
