Role description:
We're growing our Global Mobility team and seeking a Senior Traffic Project Manager. to lead traffic engineering, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and traffic operations across the United States. You'll work with clients to deliver practical, sustainable mobility solutions that connect people, goods, and communities. Our work focuses on efficient, safe, and reliable transportation amid climate change, urban growth, and digital transformation.
• Lead traffic operations, safety initiatives, travel demand analysis, and ITS design on a variety of projects.
• Conduct microsimulation and operational analyses to inform decisions (e.g., traffic flow and capacity).
• Develop signal timing plans, input data for centralized and local control systems, and design signing, pavement markings, and ITS layouts.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support operations and maintenance policies and their implementation for integrated corridor management.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
• Degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within 6 months; valid U.S. driver's license.
• Experience with traffic analysis tools and field implementation of traffic signal timing.
• Professional credentials related to traffic, transportation, or operations research (e.g., PTOE, certified project manager) are a plus.
• Familiarity with design and traffic analysis software.
• Experience with state or local transportation projects.
• Familiarity with field audits, traffic sign and pavement marking design, or traffic signal field testing.
• Knowledge of local agency processes and permit requirements.
