They are responsible for handling medical emergencies, administering first aid, managing health records, and sometimes coordinating evacuations in case of serious injuries or illnesses. Working in remote and challenging environments, they must be prepared to handle a variety of medical situations with limited resources. These paramedics often work in rotation, spending weeks at a time on the rig before rotating off.
