Keystone Engineering is currently seeking E/I Engineer (s) for New Orleans Area Upstream Oil & Gas positions.

Essential Functions:
  • Be an integral part of a major oil & gas exploration company project and technical support team as a full-time E/I resource through Keystone Engineering.
  • Work in a hybrid setting that operates in a corporate engineering environment in the downtown New Orleans vicinity and working remote.
  • Provide technical and project management support in the electrical/instrumentation/controls discipline for systems utilized on offshore oil & gas production platforms.
  • Support engineering requests for scope development, design & technical support, and coordination with other team associates across a wide range of capital expenditures.
  • Develop solutions and engineered deliverables utilizing client procedures and industry standards for electric power, process measurement in temperature, pressure, flow, level, analyzers, alarms, and control valves used in the offshore oil & gas sector.
  • Be familiar with wiring schematics, loop diagrams, P&ID's, electrical one-line diagrams, and control logic for detailed installation of systems.
  • Provide technical oversight of control panel design, enclosures, cables & wiring, per codes and standards for offshore environment.
  • Collaborate with design and project team members that consist of company direct and contractor provided professional staff.
  • Follow corporate quality control guidelines for design package development and issuance.
  • Participate in HAZOP/PHA activities that occur during the project life cycle.
  • Ensure that all equipment and materials of construction are accurate and detailed for procurement functions.
  • Investigate and identify project critical long lead items and ensure procurement meets schedule deadlines.
  • Manage internal and external resources for execution of engineering and design packages to be issued for construction.
  • Provide stewardship throughout all phases of engineering and construction to ensure project success.
  • Provide accountability and regular communications with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Act in the best interest of the client to ensure project commitments are achieved.
  • Support project reporting metrics and manage deviations.
  • Promote safety in all aspects of involvement.

Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (BSEE, preferred).
  • 5-10 years of E/I engineering experience from industrial sector, preferably from Upstream Oil & Gas.
  • Background in supporting Capital projects.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and performance metrics.
  • Ability to make field trips, if required, and lead in all project communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Team Player and willingness to help others.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
  • Current TWIC Card needed.

Experienced Preferred:
  • Background with PLC control system interface
  • Experience with sizing and selection of instrumentation in the offshore/refining/petrochemical industry
