Xylem is hiring a Sales Representativewho will support commercial growth within the Water Solutions and Services Heavy Industry segment. This Sales Representative role is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to grow the company's mobile and portable deionization services business to the power, refining, chemical, paper, and steel industries. This role identifies and pursues new sales opportunities, builds and maintains strong relationships with our existing client base, and presents products and services to potential customers. The position also involves conducting market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, competitive activity, preparing sales reports, supporting forecasting, and meeting sales targets. The Sales Representative must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and urgently in a fast-paced environment. Typical daily activities for this position includes prospecting, managing customer requests, providing quotes, updating CRM, generating reports, managing contracts, and order entry. The territory for this position includes all states in the Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast. The candidate for this position should reside somewhere within this territory and be able to travel up to 25% of the time to support field sales and customer relationships.

Responsibilities:
Sales:
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities

• Meet and exceed sales targets
• Negotiate and close sales deals
Customer Relationship Management:
• Provide excellent customer service and support
• Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers
• Conduct regular follow-ups and check-ins with customers

Market Research and Analysis:
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitors' offerings
• Gather and analyze market data to identify potential leads

• Maintain a thorough understanding of company products and services

Territory Management:

• Manage and prioritize sales activities within assigned territory

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Demineralization Sales, wastewater or any other related field preferred
• Proven experience in business development or a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in CRM and business management software, such as Salesforce and ProWorkflow.

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• A track record of identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
Salary:
The estimated total target compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000(base salary and sales incentives). Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
