Territory Representative - Tennessee

Location: Nashville Tennessee Area (Remote with travel throughout the surrounding states)

Represent Prov and Help Grow Professional Licensing Services Across Tennessee

Prov is a nationally recognized provider of licensing and certification examination services. We partner with state agencies, licensing boards, and professional organizations to deliver secure, reliable, and customer-focused testing programs.

We are seeking a Territory Representative to serve as Prov's primary representative throughout Tennessee. This highly visible role is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, attending state board meetings, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the successful delivery of examination services throughout the region.

The Territory Representative is part of Prov's Marketing and Client Relations team and serves as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders within the territory. A significant portion of this role is focused on relationship management, client satisfaction, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Client and Board Relations

  • Serve as Prov's primary representative to Tennessee state boards, agencies, licensing organizations, and industry stakeholders.
  • Attend and participate in state board meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients and key decision-makers.
  • Ensure clients receive exceptional support and service while identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
  • Serve as a trusted resource and primary point of contact for clients within the territory.

Business Development

  • Meet with prospective clients and partners throughout Tennessee and neighboring states.
  • Promote Prov's testing solutions and service offerings.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing programs and develop new business relationships.
  • Support proposal development, contract renewals, and business growth initiatives.
  • Represent Prov at networking events, trade associations, and professional conferences.

Territory Support

  • Partner with operational teams to ensure testing programs are delivered successfully and client expectations are met.
  • Monitor client feedback and test taker experience and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with recruiting and maintaining relationships with local examiners, testing sites, and industry partners as needed.
  • Help resolve client concerns and coordinate support with internal departments.

Travel Requirements

This position requires regular travel throughout Tennessee and travel to neighboring states. The Territory Representative should expect to visit current clients and prospective partners on a regular basis, including approximately monthly in-person meetings with key stakeholders. Travel is considered a core responsibility of this role and may account for 25% to 30% of working time.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in client relations, account management, business development, territory management, or a related role.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a territory.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the region.

Preferred

  • Experience working with government agencies, regulatory boards, or professional licensing organizations.
  • Experience in testing, certification, education, healthcare, or other compliance-driven industries.
  • Experience developing client relationships and growing business opportunities.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement or contract management processes.
